    Geof Kern Photography for French Sports Retailer Decathlon

    French sports equipment retailer Decathlon recently launched its new summer campaign with the tagline “We Make Sports Easier.” Aiming to capture the feeling that athletic activities are fun and for everyone, Decathlon worked with advertising agency BETC Paris to develop original concepts and recruited award-winning American photographer Geof Kern to bring its new campaign to life.

    Kern, who is known for his narrative-driven, inventive photography, shot the ads on location in South Africa. The ads—which were just released in France—showcase Kern’s images of people enjoying various sports with assistance from Decathlon employees.

    The Little Black Book for the Advertising Community featured the first two ads last week on its website; there will be five ads in total, which will run at various times between now and Christmas.
